Obstetrics
Whether you’ve recently decided to begin a family or you’re in the early weeks of pregnancy, you likely have a lot of questions. Finding the right obstetrician to meet your unique needs, and to help you through each and every pregnancy milestone, can seem daunting. Dr. Gerhardt and her staff are here to listen to you and your desired birthing plan, answer all your questions and guide you through a healthy and happy pregnancy and delivery.
Gynecology
If you're having heavy bleeding, intense cramps, or other concerning symptoms — it’s time to visit a gynecologist. Even if you’re perfectly healthy, you’ll want to get annual checkups to ensure that your reproductive organs are healthy. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends that young women see a gynecologist for the first time between their 13th and 15th birthdays. Dr. Gerhardt welcomes all generations of patients.
Post-Menopause
Menopause is the permanent cessation of menses. In the United States, the median age at which menopause occurs is 52 years, but it can be between 40 and 58. Going through the menopause is a normal part of the aging process, but it’s often accompanied by unwanted side effects that can make this a difficult experience. If you’re finding the symptoms of menopause hard to cope with, Dr. Gerhardt can assist in providing options to improve your symptoms and help bring some normalcy back.
