There arent many images that represent the average horse girl, but there are a lot of images of the horse girls who ride (or at least pretend to ride) themselves. As a woman who has never had much trouble with fitting into conventions, I find these images to be incredibly intimidating. Sometimes, if youre lucky, your horse and horse girl can be big, and then you look like a giantess next to these girls. Horses are scary, horses are intimidating, and if youre a horse owner, horses can really ruin your day. Now, I find it hard to complain about the reactions that I have to horse girls on the internet, because my first reaction was exactly the same as the first reaction of a lot of people, even though I dont really agree with it. When I first started riding, I got a weird look from riders who were considering getting horses that were bigger than my pony. I started riding a showy Shetland and people would walk up to me, staring and smiling, then theyd roll their eyes and walk away. After a few years of that, I realized I wasnt being an attractive girl. It was because I was riding a pony! Even when I started riding a fancy horse, people still had the same reaction. Only one person I met ever commented on my pony size, and she was a rich horse owner with a large stable of horses.
Our first throughbred in competition for the show year was Clear Acroon, son of Accomplish A 006 S. He has a solid shoulder and from the neck up, very good conformation. He has a very gentle temperament and works well at any pace. He really is just a hard worker and seems to be doing very well in his first year.
